As part of Plataran Indonesia’s 17th anniversary celebration, Plataran Menteng, one of the group’s heritage dining destinations in Jakarta, welcomed members of the media to an intimate gathering titled Nostalgic Menteng Rendezvous. The event was curated as a reflective afternoon that explored culture, conversation, and heritage in the heart of Jakarta’s most storied district.

Held in Menteng, an area long associated with diplomacy, old residences, and civic life, the gathering invited guests to experience the neighbourhood through a slower, more reflective lens. The programme unfolded through a gentle walking tour around Menteng, followed by afternoon tea and a Batik Painting Workshop featuring the Kawung motif, inspired by the private rooms of Plataran Menteng. The event created space for dialogue, observation, and shared appreciation of Jakarta’s cultural layers.
